영어공부 92탄(downtime/not my favorite/baby/ not another word)

1)  한가한/ 휴식 시간의 downtime

1. what do you do in your free/spare time? 도 괜찮지만, 

downtime :   한가한/ 휴식 시간

사전:  time when you relax and do not do very much

* What do you do in yout downtime?

* I've been doing a lot of reading in my downtime.

* 휴식 시간이 필요해 보이는 지인에게  You look like you could use some downtime.

* 또는 힘내라고 커피 한 잔을 사주며  You look like you could use some coffee.

* She's been a little overwhemed at work, and she just needs some downtime.

* What do you like to do outside of work?

*I don't have ant time.

 

2) 별로 안 좋아 한다고 할때 not my favorite

It's not for me.  그건 내 취향이 아냐

* Turns out it wasn't for me.

* I'm not a big fan. it's not my favorite.

* It's not my favorite  보다 별로 라는 걸 강조해선  It's my least favorite.

* Meetings are my least favorite thing.

* It's one of my least favorite topics becasue I'm very skeptical of Bitcoin.

not for me < not my favorite < my least favorite < not my thing

 

3) 애정을 쏟은 일이나 프로젝크를 의미하는 baby

사전:  Someone's baby is something that they have a special interest in and responsibility for

* We have the women at War exhibit, which has been my bady.

* This was your baby from the beginning.

 

4) 호의를 베풀며 쓰는  not another word

* I just was wondering if you wanted a cup of coffee.

I'm good, ma'am. but thanks.

I won't take no for an answer. 싫다는 말은 답변으로 받아들어지지 않을 테니, 거절 하지 마셔요.

호의를 베풀자 미안해서 거절하거나 고민할때  not another word

 그런 애기하면 더 이상 하지 마셔요.

A: Are you sure? I'd hate to impose in.

B: Not another word
