영어공부 72탄(You wanted to see me./left off/elaborate/walk 사람 through)

1) 저 부르셨나요?

누가 진짜 나의 이름을 부렸을때:  Did you callme?

상사가 따로 보자고 불렀을때, 농담반, 진담반으로 하는 말: You wanted to see me? = Did you want to see me?

 

2) I'll see what I can do.  심지어 할수 있는게 없더라도 예의상, 제가 할수 있는게 있는지, 한번 알아 볼꼐요/ 봐 볼께요.

3) 주차 도장/ 확인 받을때

Do you validate parking?

*validate:  승인/ 인정하다

-Do you need parking validation? - 반대로 손님에게 주차 하셨는지 물어보며

덧붙여/ 자세히 설명하다- elaborate

Can you fill me in on the last meeting? 지난 미팅에서 내가 모르는 부분을 알려 줄수 있어?

elaborate: 덧붙여/ 자세히 설명하다

사전:  to add more information or explain something that you have said.

- Could you elaborate on that?- 상대가 뭔가 애매보호하게 말하거나 crystal clear (확실히) 애기하지 않을때

-Could you walk me through that? -과정, 절차 등을 차근차근 설명하다

-Could you walk us through that?

-I was wondering if you could walk us through the process your company does.
