영어공부 93탄 ( first thing in the morning/ first things first/ first come, first serve)

1. 출근 하자마자 first thing in the morning

사전:  as soon as you get up in the moring or as soon as you start work

- I drink water first in the moring.

-Drink it first in the morning on an empty stomach.

-Don't worry. I'll have it on your desk first thing in the morning.

-I'll call you first thing tomorrow morning.

-We will present this to corporate first thing tomorrow morning.

- I'll call you first thing tomorrow morning. = I'll call you first thing tomorrow.

- Have it on my dest first thing tomorrow.

- Let's talk about this first thing tomorrow morning.

= Let's talk about this firt thing tomorrow.

-Can I get back to you first thing Monday morning?

- Why don't you come in first thing Monday morning?

 

2. first things first 중요한 것 부터 먼저

사전:  you say 'first things first' when you are talking about or dealt with before anything else becasue it is the most important.

- Now, first things first, who do I have the pleasure of speaking with right now?

This is Frankie.

-First thing first, I'll be meeting with Russ and Ryan. they are gonna get me up to speed on everything I need to know.

- I think we have to deal with first things first.  

 

3.  선착순 first come, first serve

사전:  used to mean that people will receive something or be dealt with in the order in which they ask or arrive.

A: Can I make a reservation?

B: Unfortunately, we don't take reservations. It's first come, first served.

* first come first served basis:  선착순제

- It's a first come first served basis.
